Orton Park is a road in Scarborough, Ontario which runs north and south between Ellesmere road and Lawrence Ave. East, just east of Markham road. Orton Park has a small community housing complex of town homes and low rises where gun violence and gang activity are prevalent.
In Orton Park there are no local attractions. Theres a plaza with a coffee time. That is it. Really.
In OP theres some gang activity in the area. You have the Orton Park bloods and down the street the Galloway boys have a "beef" that gets settled on the streets using guns. I moved to Orton Park this winter and since then there has been no violence going on; but summer soon approaches.
The most recent news story about my neighbourhood dates back to October 4th, 2013. The Toronto police arrested 41 people and 417 charges were laid in a police investigation involving the two Toronto area gangs "The Galloway Boys" & the "Orton Park Gang". Both gangs are involved in the danzig shooting that happened in the summer and the murder of D'mitre Barnaby, 24, in 2011.

Very Interesting, I moved to this area since 1 year and a half. Seriously I really like the area because is surrounded by rivine and forest. I wish by the time fly the gang and neighborhood will change to a better repetition place. So far nothing serious happen in the neighbourhood yet.
